Which personal data we process, and why
Contact and enquiries. When you contact us by e-mail or through a contact form, we process the information you provide, typically your name, e-mail address, organisation, title and the content of your message. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). We keep correspondence for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry and any follow-up, after which it is deleted.
Newsletters. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your name and e-mail address to send it to you. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), which also constitutes the consent to electronic marketing required by section 10 of the Danish Marketing Practices Act (markedsføringsloven). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by contacting us. Your e-mail address is used only for this purpose and is deleted when you unsubscribe. Documentation of your consent may be retained for up to two years after withdrawal in order to comply with the limitation rules applying to marketing consent.
Events and workshops. When you sign up for an event, workshop or similar, we process the information you provide, such as name, e-mail address, organisation and dietary or accessibility needs where relevant. Legal basis: the agreement with you regarding participation (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)) and, for any special categories of data you volunteer, your consent. The data is deleted after the event unless we have a legal obligation or legitimate reason to keep it longer.
Job and collaboration applications. If you submit an application, we process the information contained in it. Legal basis: your request prior to entering into a possible agreement (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)). Unsolicited applications are deleted no later than [6 months] after receipt unless you consent to longer storage.
Website statistics. When you use the Site, information about your visit may be collected through cookies, subject to your consent. You can read more in our cookie policy.
Data processors and recipients
Your data is processed confidentially. We use external data processors, including squarespace for hosting the Site and Substack for distributing newsletters. Data processing agreements are in place with our processors as required by GDPR art. 28.
We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Some of our processors are established in the United States. Transfers take place on the basis of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to request access to the personal data we process about you, to have incorrect data corrected, to have data deleted, to have processing restricted, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to receive data you have provided in a structured, machine-readable format. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.
To exercise your rights, contact us at no-obj.com. All requests are free of charge.
If you are dissatisfied with our processing of your personal data, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, www.datatilsynet.dk.
